In C | Spotlight Festival 2024

Curious about the big bang of American modern music? This is it, really! After the premiere of this classic by Terry Riley in 1962, suddenly everything in music became different. Riley gives free rein: the instrumental line-up remains completely open; there is no conductor; the performance can last as long as the players themselves want.

Every performance of In C is a happening, but the fact that close to  30 musicians from no fewer than nine ensembles from The Hague as well as the Residentiorkest join forces today makes it really special.
