Lera Auerbach Festival by Dag in de Branding

Fascinated by the inner voice in each of us, Lera Auerbach composed Arcanum for viola and piano ten years ago. ‘Mysterious knowledge’ is what the title means. Auerbach is referring to what might be called intuition, knowledge that we possess but cannot put into words. For her, music is the means to express this without words. This piece will be performed by Saskia Lankoorn and Esther Apituley.

By the Dutch composer Rozalie Hirs, who like Auerbach is also a poet, the extraordinary cycle Dreams Of Airs will be performed. In a lounge-like setting, this work offers a hypnotic listening experience. Dreams Of Airs will be a Ensemble Klang XL performance.
