The Big Loud Thing 8 | Coming Together – Frederic Rzewski (Ensemble Klang with the Ensemble Academy of the KC)

The climax to a week in which Ensemble Klang and Oscar Bettison work with students from the Ensemble Academy. The two join forces for an all-time minimalist classic, Frederic Rzewski’s Coming Together, a powerful musical statement triggered by the 1971 prison riots in Attica Correctional Facility in which at least 43 people died.

The Big Loud Thing concerts at Amare take place at the traptheater in the foyer, prior to events in the main hall. Admission is free and it is not necessary to book a ticket.
