Debris & Alchemy – Kate Moore – 12” Vinyl
Kate Moore (1979) presents music that feels simultaneously familiar and strange. It explores the transformation of musical material through a landscape of memory and reference.
Open your suitcase, grab your instrument and play! That spontaneous feeling, a key characteristic of the typical Dutch brass band and harmony tradition is a driving force behind 9×13. A brass band that plays contemporary music and brings this music directly to the public with theatrical performances, whether on the boulevard, at a festival or simply on the street.
9×13’s debut album features several works composed by contemporary composers especially for their five productions, Morendo (2016), Trance (2017), Les Fauves (2019), Halt en Sta Still (2021) and Onder NAP (2022).
