Professor Bad Trip

Programme

Performed by Ensemble Klang XL, conducted by Christian Karlsen.

“An impressive aural assault”, award-winning Ensemble Klang bring an undisputed masterpiece of the 21st century for a first ever complete performance in the Netherlands. In the LA Times’ review: “Professor Bad Trip is Fausto Romitelli’s most ecstatic plunge into psychedelia and spectralism. The Doors meet – and unapologetically drown out – Pierre Boulez.”

In this spectacular new production conductor Christian Karlsen and Hague-based Ensemble Klang combine with a number of other top musicians and light-artist Meeus van Dis to create a multi-sensory hallucinogenic LSD-like experience.

Performances

  • De Doelen, Rotterdam, Rotterdam (Feb 24 2017)
  • November Music Festival (Verkadefabriek), Den Bosch (Nov 10 2016)

Reviews
