Two days of OCCAM works by Éliane Radigue and Carol Robinson

Two days of Eliane Radigue & Carol Robinson at the Minimal Music Festival

On 17 & 18 April 2026, we will be delving deep into the OCCAM works we have created over the past few years in collaboration with Eliane Radigue and Carol Robinson at the Minimal Music Festival at the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ in Amsterdam.

During the five concerts spread over two festival days, you’ll have the chance to immerse yourself completely in these unique works. We’re delighted that, so soon after Eliane Radigue’s passing, we’ve been given the opportunity to present these two recent works, which she created with Carol Robinson, at this incredible festival.

OCCAM DELTA XXIII

There are no scores for this composition. The entire process that Radigue and Robinson used to create this piece has been passed down orally, with timing, attention and sensitivity at its heart. OCCAM DELTA XXIII is inspired by the North Sea coast near The Hague and is performed by a trio from Ensemble Klang: Daan van Koppen (saxophone), Anton van Houten (trombone) and Joey Marijs (percussion).

Éliane Radigue. Rétrospective dédiée aux OCCAM OCEAN

OCCAM HEXA V

OCCAM HEXA V was created in 2021 by Eliane Radigue and Carol Robinson as a new half hour long work for the six musicians of Ensemble Klang and premierd at November Music in Den Bosch.

In the OCCAM series, waterways and bodies of water are important points of inspiration, and for this new work, the Binnendieze, the waterway that runs through the city of Den Bosch, has provided the map through the piece itself. The work is co-written by Carol Robinson, who shuttled between Radigue in Paris and Klang in The Hague over the period of a few months. Robinson is one of Radigue’s closest collaborators. In addition to premiering over fifteen of Radigue’s demanding acoustic pieces, Robinson has co-composed several works from OCCAM OCEAN. Her hands-on work with Ensemble Klang was instrumental in bringing this special new work to life.

In September of 2021, Carol and members of Klang, took a boat trip around the Binnendieze, documenting its different elements. It’s been an intensive and enlightening process creating this work, one which exists without any written score, everything being communicated verbally, and the whole ensemble is thrilled to be presenting it for the first time.
