Ethan Braun’s ambitions, suspensions, broken chords

As a part of our series of 2020 Diversions films, Ethan Braun (music) and Justine Melford-Colegate (film) have created a work that, while rooted in the summer of 2020, sets off from a seemingly distant and alien place:

The work also featured in our first live concert since February, in a special summer performance on the terrace of the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, Amsterdam, on Thursday 23 July. Alongside the Ethan Braun, the concert included works by Sofia Gubaidulina, Louis Andriessen, Calliope Tsoupak and Avenue Azure.
